How to Sleep Better and Regulate Your Nervous System

If you feel you can’t sleep and like your nervous system is dysregulated or is just a mess in general, I want to share with you my story and how I fixed both problems. In this post I’ll address how I healed myself from the following symptoms:

  • Brain fog

  • Lack of concentration

  • Anxiety

  • Insomnia

  • Body pain from an undetermined source

  • Headaches

  • Heart disturbances

My Story

Three years ago, I suffered from a mysterious health crisis that threatened to completely dismantle my life. My heart began doing somersaults in my chest at all times of day and night; so much so that I was constantly aware of the whooshing sound of my heartbeat. Sleeping well, if at all, became impossible. I just couldn’t get to sleep without knocking myself out with harmful pharmaceuticals. The electrical system in my body felt like it was majorly on the fritz and by default, my nervous system was in shambles. If anyone said one wrong word to me, I’d collapse into a pile of tears. I had songs stuck in my head for days. I saw imaginary shapes out of my peripheral vision. I could barely keep it together at work. My focus was terrible, I was exhausted and was barely hanging on by a thread. I stopped seeing my friends and became a recluse. On one particularly hellish day when I thought my heart would explode in my chest, I went to urgent care, where they told me my heartbeat was abnormal. The doctor there suspected an electrolyte imbalance, but she couldn’t help me further. Beyond that, her advice was “make an appointment with your regular doctor.”

By the time I went to my regular doctor, my heartbeat slowed down after incorporating magnesium and other minerals into my daily regimen, but I still didn’t feel normal. So, I didn’t really know how to explain the problem. I tried in earnest to tell him what I felt. I told him, “there’s something wrong with the electricity in my body” but he just looked at me with a perplexed expression on his face. The doctor ran a million tests and believe it or not, I prayed he’d tell me I had a heart condition or anything else just so I’d KNOW what was happening to me. But alas, all the tests came back normal. With a wide, happy grin he looked at me and said the only words I didn’t want to hear, “you’re perfectly healthy.” I cried all the way home because of the fact that I didn’t know what was wrong with me. I was tired to the bone but could barely sleep. I was still waking up at all hours of the night from my heart pounding in my chest. At that moment, I felt utterly helpless and hopeless.

Then, to my great luck, we catapulted into quarantine, which believe or not saved me. I had time to slow down. I had time to do research on what could possibly be plaguing me. The addition of magnesium helped me greatly, but it didn’t fix things overnight. There were so many types of magnesium and I didn’t know which one was best, or which one I needed. Then, to get the right balance, I needed to incorporate it into my life slowly, which though effective, was frustrating. After a few months, I started to feel better and my sleep improved but I couldn’t get one thought out of my mind – why did this all happen?

I gave a shot at playing detective. I thought back to the month before I got “sick.” I had the flu, but it wasn’t severe. It felt like a normal flu which lasted a normal length of time. The more I thought about it though, the timeline of this flu stood out. I started to feel really “sick” a week or so after recovering, after I began working out again, when I was sweating and losing electrolytes. Then a miracle happened. I read an article about the effects of 5G on the human body. This triggered a lightning bolt idea within my head. I thought back to that timeline again and did some more research. I wanted to see when 5G was rolled out in my city, Los Angeles. Bingo. I found an article dated December 16, stating that 5G had “officially” rolled out in LA as of that date. Then, I went to my work emails and checked the date I called out sick for the flu – December 17. Granted, this could be considered a coincidence but deep in my gut I knew – 5G if not entirely responsible for my mystery illness, played a good part in it.

As they say, knowledge is power; and having this extra knowledge gave me the power to continue to heal myself. More research on how to protect oneself from electromagnetic frequencies (“EMFs”) led me to the principles of “grounding,” and that’s when everything changed. You can read more about “grounding” or “earthing” here. Once I applied some grounding techniques, my constant state of agitation disappeared. And sleep – hallelujah I could now sleep through the night!

SO, let’s get started on cleaning up EMFs from your body!

Effects of 5G and other EMFs on Your Body

Even if you feel you’re getting adequate sleep, 5G (and other kinds of mad-made electricity) is still affecting your health. Your body is not just made of physical elements. It’s also made up of subtle energy bodies that, though they can’t be seen with the human eye, have a great deal to do with your health and energy. Man-made electro-magnetic waves pummel these subtle energy bodies with great force, thereby depleting your energy and interfering with your body’s complex and brilliant electrical system. Until you have a health crisis akin to the one I had, it can be easy to forget, but I assure you – your body is electric! And by the law of physics, what takes place in the subtle energy fields, will manifest in your physical body.

When it gets to the physical level, EMFs can cause the following:

  • Insomnia/sleep disturbances

  • Dizziness

  • Memory or concentration problems

  • Headaches

  • Anxiety and/or depression

  • Fatigue

  • Arrhythmia

  • Respiratory illnesses

  • Appetite loss

  • Cancer

  • Hormone imbalances

If you’re experiencing any of these symptoms, EMFs could be the cause. Be sure to limit EMFs including 5G in the following ways:

How to Limit Exposure to EMFs

  • Use the speakerphone option on your phone as much as possible and keep your phone away from your head – when you’re sleeping too.

  • Use hard-wired products whenever possible. Get a mouse with a cord and please, please, please – do not use ear pods! Use headphones with a cord.

  • Turn off WIFI at night or when not using.

  • Say no to smart devices of all kinds. You didn’t need them before and you don’t need them now.

  • Limit exposure to digital devices. I know, I love my kindle too, but now I choose “old fashioned” physical books when I can.

  • Cook with fire rather than an electric stove – if possible.

  • Get outside and cleanse your body in nature.

  • Bring plants into your home! A snake plant is one of the best for filtering and it’s super easy to maintain.

How to protect from 5G, and in turn, sleep better and regulate your nervous system

  • Take your minerals, especially magnesium. After one year plus of experimentation, I found Trace Minerals to be a game changer for my health. This product gets bonus points for containing trace amounts of Lithium.

  • Add a grounding helper to your bedroom. The first night I used EMFRocks, was the first time I slept deeply all night without waking up in at least a year. Seriously. And all you have to do is throw it under or near your bed.

  • You can also use an earthing mat like this one – which also heals your body on many different levels (as discussed in this book). Also, pets love this one and it’s especially good for indoor pets who don’t have access to the ground!

  • I wear Earthrunners as much as possible. They have a copper plug that grounds you to the Earth. Plus, they’re much better for your feet than any conventional shoes. And they’re way cute!

Of course, we can’t completely shield ourselves from EMFs as they’re literally everywhere, but if we implement the steps above, we’ll be much better off than doing nothing at all. And remember, your health is your greatest wealth so it’s imperative to protect it. The good news is that the steps above are easy!
